Enrolment Guidelines

  • We are a district centre for International Baccalaureate (IB) and any student may apply for the pre-IB program (80% average in core subjects with no mark under 75%).
  • We are a district centre for French Immersion and any qualified student will be accepted into the program.
  • Incoming students who live within our enrolment area will be accepted.
  • Incoming students who live outside our enrolment area may be subject to a random selection draw.
  • The sibling exception rule applies prior to April 30th if siblings will be registered in the same school for the same year.

Monday, March 15, 2010
Summer school registration begins. All registration is done through Metro Continuing Education.

Friday, April 9, 2010
Students receive passports in period 3 homeroom class.

Wednesday, April 14, 2010
Passports must be completed, signed by a parent and returned to school in preparation for on-line registration.

Monday, April 19 – Wednesday, April 21
On-line registration for 2010-2011 course selections and summer school requests will take place in the library by alpha groupings.

Friday, April 30, 2010
Last day to submit passport to high school of choice

High School Pre-registration for students currently attending an Edmonton Public School

In April, Harry Ainlay counsellors will collect registration documents from all of the Edmonton Public Junior High schools on the south side. Please work with your junior high school and meet the timelilnes that they have set. If you Public Junior High is not located in south Edmonton,or if you are already attending an Edmonton Public High School, pleae contact Harry Ainlay for registration instructions. Registration and payment for summer school at Harry Ainlay must occur through Metro Continuing education either on-line or in person.

Out-of-District Registration

Out-of-District Registration April 2010
Students who are not currently registered in an Edmonton Public School may submit an application for Harry Ainlay in person. Please see us on these dates:  

Student’s last name A-L:  Tuesday, April 20th 3:30-5:00pm  

Student’s last name M-Z:  Wednesday, April 21st 3:30-5:00pm         

Documents needed for registration:
ADDRESS- You need to bring three documents indicating your current address
IDENTITY- Government Identification such as Birth Certificate or Passport
ACHIEVEMENT – Most recent report card
