Special Guest – Ward H School Trustee, Catherine Ripley
Have you ever met our School Trustee, Catherine Ripley? She is absolutely beyond “passionate” about public education! What a fabulous person to have representing our ward on the school board. Entering her second term as Trustee, she is committed to ensuring community members have a voice in shaping future directions for Edmonton Public Schools. She is eager to put public education and its value in the hearts & minds of the entire community.
Topics include:
- update on recent board activities, i.e. recent policies passed, allocation of restored funding, meeting with the new Minister, Community Sustainability Task Force.
- Q&A: Hearing Your Thoughts and Ideas – What are the successes at Ainlay? What are the challenges? Any thoughts on the weighting of diploma exams? Given Minister Lukaszuk’s focus on parents, any thoughts on how the Board might engage YOU more effectively?
